Top drug rehab principles

The basic principles of the drug addiction treatment start from considering each case a particular and individualized expression of the medical condition. Based on this fact, the specialized doctors build a complex treatment that includes each patients individual needs and problems, in order to succeed the reintegration in the healthy and normal life of the society. Even more, the drug addiction is not a unidirectional condition, as it concerns multiple medical, affective, social, personal, and legal problems.

The second most important principle when discussing drug addictions is the flexibility of the therapy. This implies changing the therapy, medicaments and alternative methods, regarding the patients evolution, problems and difficulties that might occur during rehabilitation. A major part of the rehabilitation program is the strict supervision of the patients, in order to assure the abstinence from drugs during the time of treatment and the optimum counseling that provides reasons and principles that stop the patient from restarting to use mind-altering drugs in the future. In most of the drug addiction cases, there is the need to combine the classical medicine therapies that use drugs (like levo-alpha-acetylmethadol – LAAM) with the intensive counseling and psychological therapies, in order to provide a

Super Quick Pea Salads

Making a pea salad is quick and easy. Here is the basic recipe with some options to tweak it up a little.

If you’re putting a meal together and need something quick to go with it, a simple pea salad recipe may be the answer.

It’s very simple, just drain the water from a can of peas and put peas into a bowl. Add a little chopped vegetable and a tablespoon or so of mayonnaise and mix.

That’s the basic recipe, here’s a few suggestions to spice it up a little:

1 – Add a slice of finely chopped onion. You don’t need much and it really adds flavour.

2 – Mince a small garlic clove and add to salad. Do this only if you like garlic.

3 – Add other vegetables. Cucumber, cherry tomatoes, bell pepper, celery and more. Chop them up very fine and add sparingly. Like the onion you don’t need much.

4 – Cheese it up. Shred or cube some cheese and throw it in. Any kind will do. You could also use some 3 cheese ranch dressing rather than mayonnaise for the dressing.

5 – Add a hard boiled egg, peeled and

Rain or Shine, New Technology Keeps Travelers Connected

As last year’s hurricanes and tornadoes demonstrated, Mother Nature can be devastating. When the storms came and the power went, some people relied on high-tech innovations to cope.

Skip Holmes and his family, for instance, turned to their vehicle’s TracVision satellite TV antenna to stay constantly connected to live television updates. Rugged and durable, TracVision antennae pick up hundreds of channels of DirecTV satellite television, ensuring that travelers on the road – and people whose homes have lost power – have access to live news and real-time weather.

Holmes, an expert in mobile electronics, was one of millions of Florida residents pummeled by four hurricanes in a row last August and September.

With no power inside their home, Holmes and his family often could be found in their driveway, huddled together in their Chevrolet Tahoe watching live satellite TV using their TracVision A5.

“We would actually run out the front door to the car in the middle of the storm,” Holmes said. “There were periods of rain that were so bad, you couldn’t even see across the street. Quite frequently, I’d be sitting in my SUV, watching The Weather Channel. Throughout it all, we never lost the reception.”

It was here that Simon met and befriended Art Garfunkel, and the two began playing music together sporadically under the band name “Tom and Jerry”. The immediate bond the two shared centered on their mutual admiration of The Everly Brothers, and they released their first single, Hey, Schoolgirl, in 1957 and it climbed to number 49 on the charts. However, the duo did not begin their famous duo effort at this time. Instead,

Dollhouses are wonderful gifts for both children and adults. Children love the interactivity of this fabulous toy. A toddlers imagination will run rampant, inspired by the familiar backdrop of home and family. Older kids see a dollhouse as a fashion statement, a chance to play with the emerging roles of adulthood. A dollhouse provides a safe place to role play adult responsibilities, as well as a wonderful backdrop for expression of self and decorating tastes. Young adults often view dollhouses as collectors items, the first real item of lasting value that they will acquire. In middle age, dollhouses begin to take on a somewhat nostalgic air, as changing life roles and empty nest syndrome may lead middle-aged adults to use the dollhouse as a psychological remembrance of when things were different. The elderly love dollhouses for a variety of different reasons, ranging from nostalgia to a hobby that they can share and pass on to grandchildren.

Consolidation Services

Life is tough enough without the burden of financial obligations. People have car payments, car insurance, rent, mortgage payments, college loans, private loans…the list goes on and on. Due to the increase of tuition and the value of homes, the ability to pay all of these payments on time is decreasing by the year. What does that mean?? One thing: debt.

Not all debt is so large that you can’t handle it. In fact, most debt does not bring a great financial hardship on people. However this isn’t always the case. When in debt, it is also easy to go deeper and deeper into debt creating a very deep hole to climb out of. You are then limited to what you can attain whether it be a motgage loan or a car loan, there is a good chance that you will not be eligible due to the amount of debt you are in. In situations like this it may be best to research debt consolidation services.

When I Fell In Love With Caramel (And Other Things)

I am one of those people for whom decision making and life direction has always come a little slower. One of the biggest decisions that took me a while to figure out was what I wanted to be “when I grew up.” Keep in mind that I had been grown up for quite some time when I finally figured out how I wanted to spend my days and hence my life. I was nearing my thirties when I finally decided to go to culinary school with the hopes of becoming a pastry chef. So I entered a two year culinary program having no idea that I’d learn to love caramel and many other things as well.

In some ways, deciding to go to culinary school was a very random decision for me and in other ways it made total sense based on what I wanted to do. I have always loved food and I helped my mother in the kitchen from the time I was able to be of any help (and perhaps long before then). My jobs in the kitchen were usually something glamorous like washing the potatoes or stirring the soup. But I loved it.
